These lighters are refillable butane lighters with an adjustable flame. These lighters come with no butane, it must be filled to operate; and the fuel valve is adjusted to a maximum flame. To adjust the flame, turn the fuel valve. The valve is slightly difficult to adjust, but with the right piece to insert in the valve, the flame can be adjusted.
